The Napoli-Shaut Sextet – made up of only six players – will surprise you with the fortitude of their sound. Their repertoire is made up of familiar jazz standards arranged in ways you’ve never heard before – ballads become up-tempo jazz waltzes, melodies are morphed and transformed through the addition of new harmonies. While these arrangements provide the framework for Napoli-Shaut Sextet performances, perhaps the most impressive aspect of their performances is the musical conversations created through seemingly effortless improvisation.
The Napoli-Shaut Sextet features:
Tristen Napoli | Trumpet
Bob Shaut | Alto & Soprano Saxophones
Dan Shaut | Tenor Saxophone
Matt Finck | Guitar
Rich Syracuse | Bass
Jeff Siegel | Drums
